Louise
Kooy-Henckel has been appointed as the EMEA Head of Sustainable and Transition
Solutions at BlackRock.
In the new
role, Kooy-Henckel, based in London, will report to Helen Lees-Jones, the
Global Head of STS.
As the
demand for sustainable and transition investments are at peak levels in the EMEA
region, this appointment aims to aid the needs of the clients.

“Louise brings strong product development experience across
public and private markets and will help deliver investment insights to clients
on topics such as the energy transition, physical climate risks and resilience,”
as stated in the firm’s announcement.
Recently, the financial giant has made changes to its ESG
and suitability initiatives, and even withdrew from the Net Zero Asset Managers
initiate earlier this year.
Prior to joining the
firm, Kooy-Henckel held multiple
positions including non-executive director at pensions for purpose; managing
director and investment director at Sustainable and Impact Investments at
Wellington Management for almost seven, years among others.
