The $185bn Aware Super has named Mythili Baker as the
head of data and AI, a newly created role to speed up the adoption of the rapidly
growing technology.
The
intention behind creating this role is to strengthen the super fund’s position
as an industry leader in tech and innovation by molding a comprehensive
strategy focused on AI and enterprise data.
Recently, Sally Collins, the operating chief noted that the
super fund had recently undergone a three-year project to onshore its
administration and digitise systems, as stated in the financial standards.
Baker’s previous experience in innovation, technology and
data will assist her to bring the right skills on the table.

Prior to joining the fund, Baker was the regional manager at
Altis Consulting, largest and most experienced specialist Data and Analytics
consulting firm in Australia and New Zealand.
She joined the consulting firm in February 2007 as program manager and moved up to the role of head of innovation in 2015, before taking on
the managerial role in 2023.
She has previously held roles of chief technology officer at
Lymbase for almost three years and director at LifeCircle Australia for over a
year.
She earned her degree in commerce, information systems and
management at UNSW.
