Sean Olesen was appointed managing director of
Investments for the $2B Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. Olesen came from
a background as head of private equity at Cornell University, director of
investments at Dignity Health and director of private capital at U.S. Bank.
He holds an MBA in Finance from the Yale School of Management
and a BA in International Economics at UCLA.

The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, which was founded in 1934 by Alfred P. Sloan Jr, then-president and chief executive officer of General Motors, has a mission to support original,
high-quality research in science, technology, and economics, as well as promote its
