Timothy D. Calkins, CFA, is the Co-Chief Investment Officer at Nottingham Advisors, where he plays a key role in shaping the firm's investment strategy. A member of the Nottingham Investment Policy Committee, Calkins has over two decades of experience in corporate and municipal credit research, trading, and economic forecasting. He distills the fixed income opportunity set into custom built bond portfolios to satisfy varying mandates, including insurance company investment portfolios, pension glidepath/LDI/cashflow matching, UHNW tax-free/advantaged strategies, global income targeting, and more.
Calkins also leads the firm's alternative investment research and custom allocations, with a focus on private credit and liquid or semi-liquid private market exposures. This expertise has been put to good use when working with the private pensions Calkins advises, many of which have historically had little to no alternative investment exposure. He has had success increasing their willingness to take on some level of illiquidity in exchange for the opportunity to harvest an illiquidity premium over time, and access a potential valuation arbitrage that exists between the public and private markets.
Calkins is deeply engaged with the investment community, maintaining strong ties to the start-up ecosystem through his active participation with the Buffalo Angels group. He currently serves on the Membership Committee for the Sustainable Business Roundtable of WNY. He helped found the CFA Research Challenge of WNY - participating annually as an organizer, grader, judge, and in the past has served as Membership Director for both the CFA Society of Buffalo and the CFA Society of Rochester, and as a committee member of the John F. Wegman Fund, and other community organizations.
He holds a BS in Finance from Canisius University and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2009. As a student mentor for the Golden Griffin Fund at Canisius University, he remains committed to supporting the next generation of financial professionals. Calkins also serves on the Wehle School of Business, Dean's Business Advisory Council, and is busy organizing the first annual investment conference to be hosted at Canisius University - highlighting their top ranked Finance program.

Lindsey Woodward is the Co-Chief Investment Officer at Abacus Wealth Partners. She joined the firm in 2017 and became a member of Abacus's Investment Committee in December of that year. Since then, she has played a key role in shaping the firm's investment philosophy. Before Abacus, she worked at Thornburg Investment Management as an associate in Client Portfolio Management and later at Dimensional Fund Advisors, focusing on strategic relationships.
In a recent market review, Woodward analyzed 2024's investment landscape, highlighting the resilience of U.S. large-cap stocks despite economic uncertainties. She noted that while the Federal Reserve's interest rate cuts helped stabilize markets, investor sentiment remained volatile, largely influenced by inflation concerns, geopolitical risks, and the dominance of a few major tech stocks. Her insights underscored the importance of long-term discipline, diversification, and resisting market-timing strategies in navigating unpredictable conditions.
Beyond her professional work, Woodward is a proud member of the Los Angeles Acumen Impact Circle, supporting Acumen's mission to invest in entrepreneurs creating innovative solutions to disrupt poverty. Woodward holds a BA in Economics from the University of Arizona and an MBA from the UNM Anderson School of Management.
