Brighter Super Invests in Australia’s Largest Renewable Energy Business

The investment will support the development of the Rye Park Wind Farm in New South Wales.

Brisbane-based Brighter Super has invested AU$40
million (US$26 million) in Tilt Renewables, Australia’s largest renewable
energy business.

Backed by the Queensland Investment Corporation, Tilt
Renewables has nine operational assets with a total capacity of 1.3GW. Its
development pipeline is over 3GW.

Brighter Super’s investment will support the development of
the Rye Park Wind Farm in New South Wales, which will use 66 Vestas EnVentus
V162-6.0MW wind turbines and will supply clean energy for the equivalent of
215,000 homes.

Brighter Super CEO Kate Farrar said the long-term
investment in wind power would provide stable and secure returns for members
while supporting Australia’s energy industry.

“Creating a bright future is more than creating strong
retirement outcomes for our members, but also ensuring we create jobs and work
to preserve the planet,” Farrar said.
