Patterson Leaves Wilshire to Join UPMC

Healthcare provider and insurer is largest nongovernmental employer in Pennsylvania.

Patterson
has left his role as a vice president at Wilshire Associates
to join the investment team of UPMC, a Pittsburgh-based healthcare provider and
insurer, as director, investments.

He spent nine years with Wilshire, an independent investment management firm
which offers consulting and analytical products for a global client base. Prior
to Wilshire, Patterson was a senior investment accountant with BNY Mellon.

UPMC, which generated $24 billion in revenue in 2021, is the largest
nongovernmental employer in Pennsylvania. It has more than 92,000 employees, 40
hospitals, 800 doctors’ offices and outpatients, and a more than
4-million-member insurance services division.

UPMC’s investment team is led by Director Mary Ciccone and Senior Director Fiona
Yung.

Efforts to reach Ciccone were unsuccessful.
