San Diego City Employees’ Retirement Systems Names Interim CIO

Jamie Hamrick tapped to fill spot vacated by Liza Crisafi’s retirement.

The San
Diego City Employees’ Retirement System (SDCERS)
has tapped a veteran of
its investment team to serve as interim chief investment officer following the
retirement of Liza Crisafi.

Jamie Hamrick, who has been with SDCERS since 2001, will oversee the $11.1
billion fund until a permanent CIO is named, said Jessica Taylor, SDCERS’
communications officer. Crisafi had been CIO since 2008. She announced earlier
this year that she planned to retire at the end of July.

.
SDCERS CEO Gregg Rademacher told Markets Group that a search for a
successor is underway with the assistance of EFL & Associates, a
professional recruiting firm. He declined to give a timeframe for when the
position could be filled.

Hamrick, who originally joined SDCERS as an investment analyst, has been senior
investment officer since January 2016.

SDCERS administers the employee defined benefit pension plans for the city, port
and airport. It serves nearly 21,000 members.
