Mark Mobius to Step Back From Mobius Capital Partners

Veteran emerging markets investor Mark Mobius is set to step back from his position at Mobius Capital Partners LLP in the coming months, as announced by the asset manager.

Veteran emerging markets investor Mark Mobius is set to step back from his position at Mobius Capital Partners LLP in the upcoming months, as announced by the asset manager. Carlos Hardenberg, who co-founded Mobius Capital Partners with Mark Mobius in 2018, will assume the leadership of the firm. The statement further noted that the firm will continue to oversee Mobius Investment Trust plc.

Before founding the partnership, Mark Mobius dedicated over 30 years to Franklin Templeton Investments, culminating in his role as the Executive Chairman of the Templeton Emerging Markets Group, as detailed in his biography on the current firm’s website.

In addition to his role at Mobius Capital Partners, Mark Mobius holds a position on the Economic Advisory Board of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private investment arm of the World Bank. Furthermore, since 2010, he has served as a supervisory board member of OMV Petrom in Romania.
