Lloyds Banking Group Welcomes Suresh Balaji as Chief Marketing Officer

Suresh Balaji has assumed the role of Chief Marketing Officer at Lloyds Banking Group.

As the Chief Marketing Officer, Suresh will oversee the comprehensive Brand, Marketing, and Experience function across the group. His responsibilities include crafting and maintaining the group’s robust, inclusive, and sustainable portfolio of brands, formulating marketing strategies, fostering creative excellence, and designing customer experiences to contribute to business growth.

Suresh joins the Banking Group from Standard Chartered Bank, where he served as the Global Head of Marketing & Communications, leading the function across Consumer, Private, and Business Banking in Hong Kong.

With a career spanning 17 years at HSBC, he held various regional, country, and global leadership roles, culminating in his position as Chief Marketing Officer for the Asia-Pacific region. His earlier professional journey encompasses marketing and sales roles at United Breweries, WPP, and GSK.
