CEO Markus Sauerland to Retire From Nomura Financial Products Europe

Nomura Financial Products Europe (NFPE) revealed that Markus Sauerland will retire from his position as CEO effective December 31, 2023.

Nomura Financial Products Europe (NFPE) revealed that Markus Sauerland will retire from his position as CEO effective December 31, 2023. Shogo Ohira, currently serving as NFPE’s Chief Client Management Officer and Country Head of Germany, will succeed Mr. Sauerland as CEO while continuing to hold his current positions.

During his tenure of over 25 years at Nomura, Ohira-san has taken on various significant roles, such as serving as Head of Japan Equity Sales in Tokyo, Deputy Head of Trading Service Department, and Country Head of Malaysia.

Before his departure at the end of the financial year, Mr. Sauerland assisted in the transition as a senior adviser to NFPE.
