Australian Retirement Trust (ART) has announced the selection of David Anderson as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO) following an extensive global search.

David brings over 30 years of experience in insurance, financial services, and professional services, having led teams across various regions globally, including Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Middle East, Africa, Latin America, Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States. His most recent position was as the global Chief Commercial Officer at Mercer, where he served for 25 years. In this role, he had oversight of Mercer’s clients and teams in numerous cities and countries outside the United States and Canada.

As part of the ART’s vision to become Australia’s most chosen and trusted retirement partner, David’s appointment as CEO is considered significant. He will be succeeding Bernard Reilly, who resigned from the CEO position three months before David’s appointment. David will officially assume the role in March 2024, following Bernard’s departure at the end of February 2024. The two will collaborate during the transition period to ensure a seamless handover. David will be based in Brisbane.
