As Head of Asset Allocation, he oversees the construction of the Fund’s Reference Portfolio, the allocation of risk capital across the Fund, the determination of the cost of capital, modelling/monitoring of portfolio flexibility and the Guardians’ economics function. Dr Hyde’s previous roles include Head of Quantitative Research at MIR Investment Management; Head of Equities Research at Commonwealth Bank of Australia; and Principal Economist in Transfer Pricing at Deloitte.

These include family offices, high net worth individuals, indigenous trusts, and professionals. He has degree qualifications in Physical and Social Sciences from Auckland University, and a post-graduate diploma in Personal Financial Planning (DipPFinPlan) from Waikato University, where he received the Westpac/FPG Study Award. Grant is also sought after as an independent investment board member and speaker both in New Zealand and internationally. Sharon joined the Economics team in 2010 and became Chief Economist in late 2017. She started her career as a macroeconomist at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand in 1998, and has also worked at the Central Bank of Norway. Her insights into trends like interest rate movements, inflation, and economic risks, all influence asset allocation and investment strategies. Sharon grew up on a farm near Methven, Mid-Canterbury, and her real job is mum to two teenage boys. She holds a Master of Commerce from the University of Canterbury.

Stephen is the Head of Research, Institutional Equities, at Craigs Investment Partners, NZ’s largest integrated wealth management firm. Education includes a First Class (first division) Honours degree in Accounting & Finance from the University of Auckland.

Te Pūoho traces his heritage to the Ngāti Toa, Ngāti Whātua, Ngāti Tama tribes. A graduate of Stanford Business School and Fulbright Scholar, he is steadfast in his pursuit of holistic prosperity for Māori. His comprehensive background includes marine science, commercial and investment strategy, governance, relationship management across iwi and government, impact investment and social enterprise. Tim joined Annuitas in January 2023. Previously Tim was Global Head of Governance Consulting at WTW (formerly Willis Towers Watson). Before joining WTW, he was General Manager Corporate Strategy at the New Zealand Superannuation Fund, an institution he joined at its inception in 2002. Tim also ran his own consultancy company, where he advised a variety of Crown entities including the Reserve Bank, Public Trust and ACC. He has also been a Principal Advisor at the New Zealand Treasury, focusing on Crown Financial Policy, and, before that, was Chief Investment Officer at Colonial First State Investment Management NZ.
