Prior to joining the City of San José, he spent seven years at State Street, where he was an assistant vice president providing performance, attribution, and portfolio analytics solutions for institutional clients. Dhinesh graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Davis. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Gina Sanchez is the founder and Chief Executive Office of asset allocation consultancy Chantico Global and Chief Investment Officer of Lido Institutional. She was previously the Director of Equity and Asset Allocation for Roubini Global Economics (RGE), advising their clients worldwide on investments and assets. Gina also served as Managing Director of Public Investments at the California Endowment, a $3 billion LA-based foundation. She also worked as Director of Public Investments at the $10 billion Ford Foundation, as a Portfolio Manager and strategist at American Century Investment Management, and in Emerging Markets Research at JP Morgan. Alongside her role advising clients around the world, Gina is also a regular contributor and guest host on CNBC interviewing global business figures and commentating on the economy. She is frequently quoted in print and broadcast media and was a recipient of Institutional Investor’s Foundations and Endowments Rising Stars Award.

With more than 22 years of professional investment experience, Jim has experience as an advisor, in building and overseeing multiple advisory platforms, and in managing two mutual funds. Jim has built fundamental, risk-based, and quantitative investment strategies using mutual funds, ETFs, and equities as well as those focused on alternatives or technical analysis. He has built models emphasizing active management, passive management, a blended Core-Satellite approach, and single or multi-factor approaches. More recently, Jim helped oversee the portfolio management, analysis, and due diligence for $4 billion of managed assets at Allworth Financial. Jim holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and the Chartered Market Technician designation. He also is a full member of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association®. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in International Business Management from Brigham Young University –Hawaii with Mandarin as the foreign language. Prior to college, Jim served a two-year mission for his church in the Philippines. He speaks fluent Tagalog. Jim loves nature, reading, writing, hiking, good movies, and going to the lake, river, or beach with his family and dogs.

Karyn is a member of the Zurich Global Investment Management Strategy Implementation team and Zurich North America’s leadership team. Prior to Zurich, she founded Hightree Advisors. Mark Anson is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of the Commonfund and Chair of the Boards of CF Private Equity and Commonfund OCIO. Previously, he was the President and Chief Investment Officer for the Bass Family Office of Ft. Worth, Texas which was recognized as Family Office of the Year for 2014 & 2015. He was the President and Global Head of Investment Management at Nuveen Investments, a full-service asset management company with over $900 billion in assets under management. Prior to Nuveen, Mark served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer for the British Telecom Pension Scheme (BTPS), the largest institutional investor in the UK with assets of £55 billion. In addition, Mark was the CEO of Hermes Pensions Management in London, a £60 billion asset management company that is wholly owned by the BTPS. Prior to joining BTPS, he served as the Chief Investment Officer of the California Public Employees' Retirement System, the largest institutional investor in the United States with over $400 billion in assets. Mark is currently a Trustee, member of the Committee and Chair of the Investment Committee of the $65 billion UAW Retiree Medical Benefits Trust. He also serves on the Law Board of the Northwestern University School of Law, Board of PanAgora Asset Management and the Board of Directors of the Toigo Foundation. He is the only person to serve on the Board of Governors for both the CFA Institute and the CAIA Association. He was an inaugural member of the SEC Investor Advisory Committee and the Chairman of the Board for the International Corporate Governance Network. Mark has published over 90 investment articles in professional journals and has won three Best Paper Awards. He is the author of five financial textbooks including the Handbook of Alternative Assets, which is the primary textbook used for the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst program. Mark earned a B.A. in Economics and Chemistry from St. Olaf College, a Ph.D. and Masters in Finance from Columbia University Graduate School of Business, and a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law, all with honors. He has also received several industry awards in recognition of his leadership in asset management including the Lifetime Achievement Award in Pension Fund Management from Plan Sponsor and the CAIA Leadership Award from the CAIA Association. Last, Mark has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, Certified Public Accountant, and Chartered Global Management Accountant professional degrees, and he is a Member of the Law Bar of New York and Illinois.

He is responsible for alternative investment portfolios in the Americas with a focus on developing private equity portfolio strategies and building co-investment portfolios. Prior to Aksia’s acquisition of TorreyCove Capital Partners, Mike was a Managing Director of TorreyCove Capital Partners, where he was responsible for the identification, due diligence, and selection of private equity and credit investments, including coinvestments. Prior to that, he was a Senior Vice President at Pacific Corporate Group in a similar capacity.

Earlier, he was with Mellon Capital, where he worked as Managing Director of Strategic Investments and Managing Director of Research.
