Chaewoo Nam

Korea Capital Market Institute (KCMI)

Research Fellow

Dr. Nam is a research fellow in fund & pension division of Korea Capital Market Institute (KCMI). He has been a member of the Public Pension Investment Pool Steering Committee since 2024. He also serves as the head of the Alternative Investment Advisory Group within the pension investment pool. He was a former head of fund performance evaluation team in National Pension Research Institute (NPRI), which was a division of National Pension Service (NPS). His research area covers all of the asset management of pension fund, especially the ESG and alternative investment(AI) of institutional investors. He received his PhD in Management Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST)  

Dave Tayeh

Investcorp

Head of Private Equity North America

David Tayeh joined Investcorp in 1999 as a Partner in the Private Equity team. From 2003 to 2005, David served as the Chief Financial Officer of Jostens, Inc., a former Investcorp portfolio company. Prior to Investcorp, David was a Vice President with DLJ. In 2015, David rejoined Investcorp as the Head of North American Private Equity from CVC Capital Partners where he was a Partner from 2011. David is a member of Investcorp’s Operating Committee, Investment Committee and the Financial & Risk Management Committee. He currently serves on the board of directors of AlixPartners, CrossCountry Consulting, Fortune International, Health Plus Management, ICR, KSI Auto Parts, RESA Power, Revature, Roadsafe, Sunrise Produce, Shearer Supply, BCTS, Alex Lee, and Arab-American Family Support Center. David holds a BA degree in Politics, Economics, Rhetoric and Law from the University of Chicago and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

David Breach

Vista Equity Partners

President, Chief Operating Officer

David Breach is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Vista Equity Partners. Vista currently has more than $100 billion in assets under management and oversees a portfolio of over 85 enterprise software, data and technology-enabled companies. Mr. Breach oversees the governance of the firm, advises on investment strategies and directs strategic growth initiatives, among other responsibilities. He is a member of Vista’s Executive Committee and serves on the boards of several portfolio companies, including EagleView, Jamf (NASDAQ: JAMF), Solera and Stats Perform. Earlier in his career, Mr. Breach was a Senior Partner at Kirkland & Ellis. He holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan.

Alistair Smith

Border to Coast Pensions Partnership

Head of Real Estate

Alistair joined Border to Coast in 2022 having previously been Head of Real Estate Investment Management at abrdn. Alistair has over 30 years’ experience in UK and international real estate asset and investment management experience across advisory, private equity, institutional real estate, businesses development, and M&A activities. He is a keen skier, educational and charity boards non exec and former reserve forces officer. Alistair holds a BSc in Land Economics and is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Professional Competence Assessment Panel Chair. 

Christopher T. Battifarano, CFA, CAIA

FineMark National Bank & Trust

Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer

Christopher T. Battifarano is a Director, Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at FineMark National Bank & Trust since June 2016. He has 20 years of experience in asset allocation and portfolio construction. Mr. Battifarano serves on the following bank committees: Asset Liability, Investment Policy, and Trust. He is responsible for the investment process and philosophy while leading the Bank’s strategic and tactical investment recommendations.

Prior to FineMark, Mr. Battifarano was Director of Research for GenSpring Family Offices/Suntrust Bank in Jupiter, Florida, where he led the firm’s manager due diligence efforts around both alternative and traditional strategies.
Mr. Battifarano earned bachelor, MBA, and BBA degrees from the University of Miami and has earned both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations. He is also a member of The South Florida Society of Financial Analysts. He is based in FineMark’s Palm Beach office.

John Bowman

John oversees the industry leading CAIA Charter, thought leadership and content development, operations, and CAIA’s Asia Pacific strategy. John has devoted over 25 years to the asset management industry to recover the narrative of the value that the investment profession bring to society. He is a staunch public advocate for market integrity, long-termism, investor outcomes, diversity, human dignity and educational standards, as necessary ingredients to building a sustainable and healthy profession. John previously served as Managing Director for the Americas for CFA Institute, a region comprised of 40+ countries from Canada, the U.S., Central America, South America and the Caribbean.
