Joshua Varghese joins Trez Capital's Board of Governors as a leader in the Canadian real estate investment industry.

Joshua Varghese joins Trez Capital’s Board of Governors as a leader in the Canadian real estate investment industry. His extensive experience in the real estate investment industry is likely to contribute significantly to the oversight and decision-making processes related to Trez Capital’s offering memorandum funds.

Mr. Varghese has joined the Board of Governors at Trez Capital, bringing leadership expertise from the Canadian real estate investment sector. Formerly, he served as the Founding Partner and President of Axia Real Assets, a collaboration with CI Financial Corp., concentrating on private market real estate for global investors. Before his tenure at Axia Real Assets, Mr. Varghese played a significant role at CI Global Asset Management, holding the positions of Vice President and Portfolio Manager for almost 15 years. Managing around $5 billion in real estate equities, he led the Signature Real Estate Pool and co-managed various funds, actively participating in strategic decisions for portfolio companies. His responsibilities also encompassed overseeing corporate actions like initial public offerings (IPOs), mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and privatizations.

Mr. Varghese, a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), earned a Bachelor of International Business, Commerce, from Carleton University.

Starting January 2024, the Trez Capital Board of Governors comprises five members, each contributing unique perspectives and expertise. The departure of Christopher Voutsinas from the Board is acknowledged and appreciated by Trez Capital.
