Senator Sarah Hanson-Young is a passionate environmentalist, community campaigner, feminist, and human rights activist. With 17 years in the Parliament, Sarah has become one of the country's leading voices on women in politics, environmental protection, climate change, media laws and diversity, and human rights policy.
Sarah is the Australian Greens Manager of Business in the Senate, and Party spokesperson for the Environment and Water, Media and Communications, and the Arts. Representing the state of South Australia, Sarah is a strong advocate for a fast and efficient transition to renewable energy, decarbonisation and protecting biodiversity. Sarah believes our economy must deliver for both people and planet. Sarah has a proven record of working across different groups and sectors to create a progressive, safe and sustainable global community and planet.
Sarah has a strong interest in media and communications policy, heading the push for a shake up of media laws in Australia and a Royal Commission for media reform and diversity. Most recently she introduced a bill to establish a Royal Commission into the Murdoch media empire and the control and influence they have over Australian democracy.
Sarah has been a Young Global Leader with the World Economic Forum since 2016 and was a Bloomberg Catalyst in 2021.

Christian Ryan (born 5 June 1977 in Warrnambool, Victoria) is an Australian former rower who won a silver medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Ryan's senior club rowing was from the Melbourne University Boat Club. Victorian state representation first came for Ryan in the 1996 youth eight which contested and won the Noel Wilkinson Trophy at the Interstate Regatta within the Australian Rowing Championships.[1] In 1998 he was selected in the Victorian men's eight to race for the King's Cup at the Interstate Regatta. He rowed in the bow seat of that 1998 Vic eight to a King's Cup victory.[2] He rowed in further Victorian King's Cup crews in 1999, 2000,[3] 2005, 2006, 2007 and saw victories in 2000, 2006 and 2007. Currently, Christian is an Investment Committee member of Geelong Community Foundation and wears different hats in the investment industry including Director at Choice Capital, Managing Director at Beulah Capital, Non– Executive Director at NQR Big Brands Cheap, Chairman at FinCap Australia, and he was the President at Melbourne University Boat Club from 2017– 2024.
